Coldham’s Lane crossing

Narrow Lane on Cambridge Retail Park, and there's a 5 mph sign. (You need to be pretty skilled to cycle as slow as that!)

A helpful extra bit of tarmac where this cycleway passes near the supermarket deliveries entrance.

A very useful triangle of tarmac makes this route a little bit more pleasant.

New bit of concrete track on Ditton Fields, possibly to help protect underground pipes.

  • Icon 153649 Too many parked cars block safe route for cycling and prevent buses getting through. a Marked cycleway or double yellow lines on one side would improve visibility and safety.
  • Icon 153648 Sharp turns onto narrow bridge make it hard for cyclists and dangerous for pedestrians.
  • Icon 153647 Cars speed down Somerset avenue
  • Icon 153646 One way system
  • Icon 153645 The existing footpath ids very overgrown and dangerous to walk with the number of heavy lorries on the road
  • Icon 153642 There is no pavement or cycleway but the narrow road called Lutterworth Road from Arnesby to the gated road called Arnesby Lane is used by many walkers, with and without dogs, and cyclists, but this road carries a lot of traffic including lorries collecting or delivering building materials.
  • Icon 153627 The pavement from Bowling Green J with Leics Road and then all along Leices Road to the school is too narrow. As it serves two schools who encourage cycle and scooter usage but is also very narrow commuting times are hectic and adngerous. The area is congested with cars and a cycle lane would enable driving, ctcling and walking safely.
  • Icon 153620 The existing path along the old railway line from Pitsford Dr through to Clowbridge Dr is now in a very poor state, with large patches of mud and uneven surfaces. If this track was resurfaced it would provide a good clear and traffic free corridor into the outskirts of the town. As the base exists this would be relatively easy and quick to provision. With the addition of signs it could link to the cycleway coming down alongside the A512 from the motorway, a well used route to/from Shepshed.
  • Icon 153617 Access to Earl Close from the cycle path has been unlawfully blocked. This makes the whole path less attractive to use.
  • Icon 153616 This path is falling into direpair and is dangerous.
